Thanks for your interest in Undad Volume Three. Unfortunately, submissions are now closed to artists.
If your application is successful:
- You’ll be hired on a work-for-hire basis, and paid a flat page rate of $100AUD per completed page (approx $70-$75USD).
- You’ll be engaged to produce artwork at some point between June and November of 2019 (exact dates TBD).
- You’ll be contracted to produce no more than forty pages of coloured artwork, though depending upon the length of the story you’re assigned to, it could be less.
- The format of the book will be square, with either one or four panels per page, as per the existing volumes.
The application process
Step 1.
If you’re reasonably confident about your availability and accept the quoted page rate, please send some relevant art samples (including at least some sequential art) to [link removed: submissions closed]. Coloured samples preferred. Note: bit.ly and tinyurl links will not be clicked.
Step 2.
Applicants may be selected to progress to the next stage: a commissioned piece of Undad artwork. This commission will be covered by a simple contract, and will likely take place between November 2018 and March 2019. You will be paid a flat rate of $40AUD ($28-$30USD) for this image.
Step 3.
Based on the strength of your portfolio and custom Undad artwork, you may be offered a work-for-hire contract to work on the Undad anthology. This contract will outline payment schedules, timeframes, and all relevant copyright information.
